What about tractor tires, fields of fragmented electronics, and rolling hills of garbage?
For this stylized bridal shoot, we broke all the rules of conventional wedding photography to create a haunting dystopian portrayal of mutual love.
Surrounded by a sea of debris, our gorgeous models strapped on their steel toe boots and took a romantic stroll through the Beaver Municipal Solutions Landfill located in Ryley, Alberta.
Gown designer and seamstress extraordinaire, Michelle Bossert, fabricated a wedding frock emanating grace and elegance to contrast the post-societal landscape of decay.
Hair and makeup provided by Ador Makeup Art and Viking’s Edge Hair Design complimented the exquisite gown, with an angelic glow and flowing curls.
To tie everything together, floral designer and Petals on the Trail owner Angie arranged the quintessential bridal bouquet boasting delicate ivory petals and fresh greenery.
These ethereal stylistic choices produced an evocative and soul-stirring set of photos when contrasted with the gloomy, almost post-apocalyptic scenery of the landfill. Models Alicia Victoria and Catlin Fauchon’s chemistry helped set the scene, and their glowing and joyous demeanor created thought provoking imagery when paired with the poignant terrain. Our team videographer, Alex captured the whole experience on film, flawlessly edited to kindle the dystopian sentiment of the photoshoot.
This stylized bridal captures the sentiment that love withstands all, and is a testament to the powerful emotion evoking capabilities of photography.
